I was answering messages earlier this morning and then I had a new friends ad....and like I always do when I'm not familiar with a name...I went to their page to check out their posts and photos to see if they are family friendly people. I'll not have any pole dancers or anything of the sort in my friends list...not that I'm prejudice against them...but I mean...goodness. It's just like I've always said..."There is just no right way to do the wrong thing" And I will not have sleazy photos running through my news feed....
I have enough of a problem with these women who call themselves Christians and then they wear blouses cut so low they have cleavage to their KNEES...now WHAT is with THAT?
Well...here I go...45 seconds into the blog and I'm off on another rant...so let's back track and start OVER!
I was answering messages earlier this morning :-) and when I was accepting a new friends ad...I noticed that this woman had a link on her page to "Maid For You"...a new maid service in the Massac/McCracken County area...and "Maid For You" services anything within driving distance...all around those counties.
Well I LOVE to clean and foo foo...SO I clicked on "Maid For You" and surfed around on her page a bit and I just got so excited about cleaning our own house...I just almost shouted...THEN I remembered I'm still working on one leg. :-(
I've had a rough few days with this leg. I was to start putting 100 pounds of pressure on it this past Sunday and so when I saw I could do that...I started walking on it a little bit with the walker...and I dont' think Dr Lettuce intended for me to GO that far with it...because it has really been giving me a fit the last 2 days...I had planned to go to church tonight...but now, I don't know if I'll be able to go or not....
But here I am on another track AGAIN. So let's talk about cleaning and foo fooing. "Maid To Order" says she will come into your home and organize, do fall or spring deep cleaning, do maintenance, laundry and cooking. OH my GOODNESS! And she talks about how fast and efficient she is. She will come for 3 or 4 hours or a day...your choice.
But just looking over her facebook page just made me want to get up and start deep cleaning right then.
After all the talk of how old our furniture is and how much I love our home...I've decided that if I can find what I want...I'm going to do a little remodeling when I'm totally back on my feet completely. AND I've told the geezer...who isn't happy...but he'll survive. He said "This furniture is perfectly good...we've had it for 40 years and it's still like new" hahahahaha I said "Pretend it's another half dozen buck's mounted on the walls or a couple sets of motorcycle tires and the sour taste will go down a little easier"
Shannon has been out many times during my 10 1/2 weeks of being down and one day she said "You've spent so much time in this living room...you're going to want to remodel when you're on your feet again" And I said "Noooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaay...NOT meeeeeeeeeeeeee" :-) But yup....THAT was about 5-6 weeks ago and by now...I've about had it with this living room that is oh...oh...OH...so warm and fuzzy. And I need to make it OH OH OH so warm and fuzzy...with new furnishings.....
I'm not going to get in a hurry....and won't do anything if I don't find exactly what fits our personalities...but I want to change the couch and chair that matches it...and take down all of these gazillion ruffled curtains and put up warm and fuzzy off white or ivory drapes with sheers...re-do my throw rugs....Oh I don't know...my mind is spinning with ideas...but it's quite a ways off yet. AND THEN...I may not find what I have in mind...We're not into leather or vinyl furniture...or brocade or velvet or anything fancy....hahaha It's going to have to be Paul Bunyon style...plush and some shade of warm brown...So we'll just have to see....But what I'm REALLY excited about is just getting up and walking on 2 feet and deep cleaning and foo fooing....
I don't think a lot of people realize just how important the look of their homes are...inside and out...to the way they feel on a daily basis....It doesn't have to be fancy...it just needs to be clean and neat and organized...

And while I'm doing commercials :-) I hope if you haven't already....you will go to the Pig Out BBQ page and find the post where they're trying to find out if enough of us want them to stay in Metropolis....Heavenly day...we sure NEED them here....They're here until Thursday afternoon and they open about 11am I think....and they just have the most delicious smoked barbecue I've ever had.
So if you haven't tried it yet...run on out there and pick up your lunch...or supper for tonight....and tell 'em the goofy lady with the broken leg sent you...I TOLD them I was going to send them so much business...they wouldn't want to leave Metropolis...and I think we've just about pulled that off....
Well this blog was just a bunch of nothing this morning....I've been up most of the night with pain in this doggone leg...and I've been through so much with side effects from the pain meds...I'm not ABOUT to take those...I'll just deal with it and get to Friday and see what Dr Lettuce thinks I've DONE to it NOW...Whatever it is...I WILL NOT be surprised....If you look up complications from a mere broken leg...I AM SURE...you will see a photo of ME there.....oh my goodness....
