Let's Talk...

This is a very special grand and groovy zippity doo dah day for me...because after 13 weeks of living on the love seat...Kim and I have our annual junking outing today.

Now I've been to church the last 2 weeks, but geezer is still doing all the shopping and errands because I just move so slow and

still with a huge limp...and in all honesty I think he's kind of enjoying it too.  But Kim said we were keeping our plans for this day if she had to push me in my walker chair.  :-)

We'll probably start out at "The Warehouse" in Marion and that's on Van Buren...for those of you that want to check it out.
It's just a huge old warehouse almost right in the middle of town.  And it's back in behind the Purple Peacock junk store and if you come out the front door of Benny's Italian Restaurant...you can see it across the way if you look real hard.

But we LOVE this old warehouse.  Now it's going to give me a time today...because it's huge and has stairs here and there...but OH my GOODNESS the good JUNK...AND the great prices...at least last time we were there.
The Warehouse is where I bought the little kerosene lantern that sits on our front porch and it had been made into an electric lamp...so I bought that rascal for $12....SUPER deal and it stays lit by our front door at all times.  I wanted to DO that...because I LOVE the old Motel 6 commercial...that says "We'll always keep the light on for ya"...so we do that too, here in the canyon....we keep a welcoming light on...on our front porch..24/7....This is a really neat electric kerosene lamp...kind of short and fat...I was SO SO glad to find it and especially at that price.

Sooooooo after we leave The Warehouse...if I'm still standing  :-/  we'll head to the John Logan craft show.  Kim and I did that craft show for about 15 years and boy is it a dozie.  We don't usually buy anything but some hand stuff and lip ice that Kim loves at this one particular booth.  It comes in chocolate and vanilla and sugar cookie and super great scents and Kim just loves that stuff..and just a little dab will turn your hands to silky soft in an instant.

When we leave John Logan we'll grab some lunch I'm sure and then head to a couple of shops that Kim was told about in Carbondale...then we'll head for House on Pooh Corner to drop Kim off and I'll head to the canyon.  But I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED.

I've had a lot of excitement in the canyon already this morning.  Geezer is in his tree stand about 5 miles from the house...and I just walked to the kitchen door to look out like I do a dozen times a morning this time of year...to see if I see any bucks...and there were FOUR BUCKS in the yard...but 2 were kinda small.  TWO though....were big 10 pointers and they were fighting to beat the band...and I watched those rascals for 20 minutes...and then they wrestled their way into the woods and out of my sight...I ran for my camera but my memory card was full...I'm going to have to learn how to put those pics in my facebook albums....But in the mean time I'm going to pick up another memory card today....so I'll be ready if I see these bucks again.

Well I've got to get busy....I want to tidy and foo foo until time to hit the road.

Peace and love from the canyon....I love you all gobs and thanks so SO much...for stopping by.

This almost looks like the gym of John Logan college...where the craft show is today.  We've set up in the gym and also in the room just in front of the snack bar.  HUGE sales at this show.  At one particular show...we sold 1,000 signs in 3 hours...and they used to blow a big loud horn when it was time to open the doors of the show...to warn you to get ready for the stampede...and at one show we couldn't even get out of our booth to run to the restroom until 2pm...and it opened at 10am...we were just swamped beyond measure...I always said I'd never give up that craft show because the money was so huge....but when Kim got her own home it was just too much for me alone.   But it's still fun to go shop.
