The Mystery Woman in Black

Have you heard about the mystery woman in black that has been seen walking across Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia?   They say she's carrying a big black bag and a walking stick and is walking along the highways ... never speaking or even making eye contact with anyone for any reason, even if she's approached and spoken to.

Her brother, Raymond Pole ... who saw this story on the news ... has finally come forward and said this is his 56 year old sister, Elizabeth Pole.  He says she was a kind and quiet and soft spoken woman before her husband and dad passed away so close together.  But after that, she was never the same.

Elizabeth lost her husband in 2008 and

her dad in 2009 and she was extremely close to both.  Losing them so close together was evidently much more than she could take.  And Elizabeth ended up in a Mental hospital for a period of time. 

But a few weeks ago, she just put in this black attire and started walking and she hasn't stopped walking since that day.  Her brother suspects she is headed for Winchester, WV but he hasn't said why publicly.  "I" am wondering if that's possibly where the grave sites are for either her husband or dad ... but I haven't read where that's the case anywhere ... I'm just guessing.  I mean 'Why else would she walk over 500 miles?"

  Elizabeth was a US Army Veteran and is mother of 2. 

She is also one troubled and sad woman who has blocked out the whole world around her and is on a mission.  We just don't know exactly what that mission is.

The Woman In Black is all over the television news today.  AND all over the internet.  There's even a facebook page for her so folks can follow where she is and what she's doing at pretty much any given time of the day.  What a beautiful face.  So tired looking and weather worn.  And you can almost sense the sadness just looking at her. 

It was just reported that she was just coming into Capon Bridge WV at 3:15pm today and was close to her supposed destination of Winchester VA and should be there within the hour or so. 

How amazing it will be ... to learn what her exact mission was.

Let's all pray for peace of mind and safe travels for the Woman in Black that has kept many of us spellbound for the last few days. 
UPDATED 8pm Tuesday, July 29th:  The mystery woman in black has arrived...still walking.....in Winchester WV....she was picked up by the sheriff and a deputy just on the outskirts of town because there were hundreds of people lining the streets waiting for her and the sheriff was worried for her safety and also mental status I'm sure...since they know she has emotional issues. They have taken her to the court house.....SO FAR no one knows why she dressed in all black and started walking the hundreds of miles to Winchester WV.....I'm wondering if this is where her husband or dad are buried and she just had to go there....maybe we'll soon know....but at least we do know...she has arrived...and is safe with the sheriff's office..
