ROD MAN WON! IT HAD TO HAPPEN!! Last Comic Standing - Meet Rod Man (Episode Highlight)

Well ... here he is ... America's funniest man!  And that is absolutely no exaggeration!   Rod Man could make most of us laugh even doing the NBC Nightly News on television ... my goodness gracious alive!


It's all about his presentation and the way he sways back and forth as he repeats himself 2 or 3 times every other

sentence.  And it's all in the way that he comes off as a very sincere and down to earth regular guy from down the street.  Rod Man could very easily be our neighbor, the manager of our grocery store or one of our church deacons ... but what ever he's doing or telling you about, he's going to be making you laugh until you can barely get your breath.

Rod Man is married to his high school sweet heart.  He says they've been together since they were 13.  And he talks about young love and how the spark kind of looses something through the years even though you love that person more than your own life. 
He'll say things like "Man, being young and in love ... just nothin' like it ... nothin' like it ... nothin' like I ... but then time goes on, you know ... yeow, it goes on and on and all those butterflies are
flitting round inside of ya, yeow they
are flittin' round in side ya ... you know
the feelin' ... you know the feelin' and every
time you look at your young bride you
think "Man how could I be this lucky ... yeow this
lucky  ... man I'm a lucky man ... yes I am ... yes I am ... But then something starts to happen and she stops combin' her hair all nice and pretty ... yeow and stops fixin' all up and I'm thinkin' to myself MAN what has HAPPENED here ... my butterflies have DIED ... yes they have ... yes they have ... those jiggers have DIED and SHE killed them ... yes she did ... yes she did ... she's lookin' a little haggard ... yes she is ... yes she is ... and everything she's got is sagging ... my goodness ... WHAT has HAPPENED here?" 
Well or SOMETHING like that ... but he talks about every day things in every day life and puts a spin on it so big it almost makes you dizzy from laughing. 
He can make something so serious and thought provoking ... sound so funny that you miss half of what he's saying because you're laughing so hard at his first few sentences. 

He can say things and talk about things that most of us look at as very aggravating ... but when

he's done we see so much humor in that situation that it's probably not going to be a problem for even US the next time ... and when that particular thing happens to us again ... instead of it sending our blood pressure through the roof like it usually does ... we're going to be standing there thinking of what Rod Man said about it and laughing our heads off and others are going to be looking at us like we just turned greenish purple and they're going to think "WHAT is WRONG with that person?"  :8)

I was SO thrilled Rod Man won.  Most of the other comedians were funny.  But there are many FUNNY comedians that can make us laugh here and there.  We didn't need just another funny comedian.  We needed someone out of the ordinary ... someone that had something new to bring to us.  But Rod Man has something very special.  And that special thing IS ... that HE is the one and only Rod Man and he ... like a few others ... is taking the path less traveled ... he doesn't want to be ... just funny ... he wants to be unique and he is ... he marches to the beat of his own drum ... and I'm SO glad he does ... a rump a tump tum ....

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE ... Rod Man
